“I was never a cheese cake fan. Usually, two spoonfuls is more than enough to put me off. Jelak, we call it in Malay. But Mrs Hor’s cheese cake changed it all. Superb didn’t even come close to describe its taste. It was so good, that it converted me, a cheese cake-averse person, to a cheese cake lover. More specifically, Mrs Hor’s cheese cake lover. Cheese cakes never tasted the same again after that. I find myself constantly yearning for cheese cakes that are just as rich but yet unrepulsive but even cakes at famous restaurants have yet to satisfy my longing for them.
